Dancer, choreographer and teacher with a prestigious and eclectic

education. He started his studies in the institute “Academy of Nancy”. He

attends international schools such as Opera di Parigi, American Ballet

Theatre. He approached the study of Jazz dance with: Daniel Tinazzi and

Max Stone and cooperates with dancers coming from important

international companies: Victor Ulliate, William Forsythe, Nacho Duato. He

worked for: Elisa Monte, Montreal Ballet, De Mons Groups, Contemporary

Holland Artist, Scapino. He improved his skills studying with innovative

teachers and choreographers such as: M. Bejart, M. Morris, D. Parson, Ivan

Wolf, N. Cage, Bruno Collinet, Gus Bembery, B. Sajours.

Due to his versatility Alex builds up not only his own personality, but also

the one of the dancers he is working with.

The diversity and communication simplicity of the dance created by Alex

Atzewi, which is afterwards put on stage by him and his company, allows

every  spectator, who owns a wider or narrower artistic and cultural

knowledge, to understand and appreciate the message.

His choreographic skills together with originality and fluidity of movements

make Atzewi’s work particularly interesting and fascinating.

He is appreciated and required all over Italy thanks to his musical research

and his continuous professional growth.

With his first work “COMMUNICATION” Alex brought his company

NewDanceConcept to dance in important national and international

locations.

The production “Pensieri”, in November 2007, brought Alex in Salerno to

receive an important award as “Best Italian Contemporary Choreographer”.

In Salerno, in January 2009, he is awarded as “Best Talent”.

In the last years Alex received approval and succeeded in creating working

relationships with Giuseppe Carbone, Luciano Cannito, Walter Zappolini,

Luigi Ferrone, Michele Villanova and Emilio Calcagno.

He organizes the “Dance Inside” Convention, the first international festival

for particularly talented dancers.

Since 2009, when the “SPECTRE DEL ROSE” tour took place, the Company

has taken the name of ATZEWI DANCE COMPANY.

Since Spring 2010 the Company has been engaged in the tour promoting

the new production “Armonie in Contrasto”.

In 2010 he creates a choreography for the first dancer of the San Carlo

Theatre in Napoli, Corona Paone, and works for the Festival “Giovani

Talenti” directed by Luigi Ferrone.

At the moment he is engaged in a tour for the new production “Carmen” starring as main dancers Leon Cino and Luana Damiano.
